REEDS Jewelers has been trusted since 1946 for jewelry. Over the last few years they’ve really become a go-to destination for watch brands. They wanted a commercial that showed they carried some of the best timepieces in the world. Wallaby Film Production concepted, produced and edited this campaign for them: Time is the Currency of Life

This commercial all hinges on the idea that while these watches are incredible works of art and technology worthy of being relied on by scuba divers, race car drivers and others at the top of their field - they are also perfectly at home on the wrist of people who aren’t doing those things. Everyone’s time is important. As the tag line says, “time is the currency of life.”
This project was incredibly fun for the Wallaby team. We had a day filming a Porsche GT4 on a race track we rented out with professional driver Johan Schwartz, who holds the record for the world’s longest drift (seriously, look it up - it’s over 8 hours and unbelievable). We also got to make a high dive pool look like the depths of an ocean, which was an incredibly fun and challenging scene.
